Description

Registration is required for all programs (except Pajama Party or as noted in description).

In-person registration for Parsippany residents begins

Monday, March 22, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.

and nonresident registration begins

Tuesday, March 23, 2010 for any remaining spots.

Children may register for one series per child and in only one Parsippany library location.

Children must be the age required as of April 12, 2010;

first time registrants should bring a birth certificate.

There are no programs when Parsippany schools are closed.  

In inclement weather please call the library and listen to the recorded message for library

closing information. When schools have a delayed opening, the library also

has a delayed opening, and morning programs will not be held but may be rescheduled.

 

Mondays: April 12, 19, 26; May 3, 10, 17                

 

Tuesdays: April 13, 20; May 4, 11, 18, 25

 

Wednesday:  April 14, 21; May 5, 12, 19, 26

 

 

            Programs for Preschoolers

 

Nursery Time Under 2 Years of Age

Songs, nursery rhymes, short picture books

and fingerplays for caregivers and children.

Mondays, 10:00 – 10:20 A.M. or

Wednesdays, 10:00 – 10:20 A.M.      

 

2 Year Olds’ Storytime

Picture books, songs and fingerplays for

caregivers and children.

Mondays, 11:00 – 11:30 A.M. or

Wednesdays, 11:00 – 11:30 A.M.

 

3 Year Olds’ Stories Plus

Picture books, songs, fingerplays and other activities; caregivers remain in the library.

Tuesdays, 10:00 – 10:45 A.M.

 

4-5 Year Olds’ Stories Plus

Stories, songs, fingerplays and other activities;

caregivers remain in the library.

Wednesdays, 2:00 – 2:45 P.M.

 

Funtastic Preschool Storytime – Drop-in (Ages 3-5)

Stories, songs, fingerplays, and other activities.

Tuesdays, 4:15 – 5:00 P.M.

 

Pajama Party – Drop In

A weekly evening program of stories, songs and fingerplays for preschoolers and their families; caregivers remain in the library.

Mondays, 7:00 – 7:30 P.M on the following dates

*April 5, April 19, April 26, May 3, 10, 17*

 

Programs for School-Age Children

Feather Report - Grades K-3

Longer picture books and other activities learning about birds and their natural habitats; caregivers remain in the library.

Mondays, 4:15 – 5:00 P.M.   

 

Travel Tales - Grades K-3

Read folktales and stories set in different countries and make a craft connected to those countries. 

Caregivers remain in the library.

Wednesdays, 4:15 – 5:00 P.M.         

 

Super Structures - Grades 3-5

Study different buildings or structures, and try to create our own version using different materials.

Wednesdays, 7:00 – 7:45 P.M.
