Programs requiring registration are marked R. For these programs registration begins June 21 when registration for the Make a Splash @ Your Library Summer Reading Club begins. Registration in the summer reading club is required for participation in all programs and members will be issued membership cards to be shown before attending a program. Programs not labeled R are drop in and require club membership but not registration.
Programs marked * are sponsored by a generous grant from ADP.
Programs are free to: Parsippany residents; children whose parents work in Parsippany; and Morristown residents who are temporarily without a library. Please show a library card or other proof that you live or work in Parsippany or Morristown. Non residents are welcome, but due to budget constraints, the Library will charge $5.00 per family for each program attended by those who live or work outside of Parsippany or Morristown.

Mon., June 28, 7-7:45 PM - Family Stages, a dynamic theater group, will perform "Toad's Escape", a tale based on Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows. *

Wed., June 30, July 7, 14, 21, 28, Aug. 4, 4-4:45 PM - Chinese Knot Craft. Learn this ancient Chinese craft and make some neat things! Ages 9 and up. R
Thurs., July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, Aug. 5 -4-4:45 PM Knitting Club. Learn to knit or bring your projects for knitting and conversation. Bring 10 inch knitting needles, size 8, and we will supply the yarn to learn on. Ages 8 and up.
Tues., July 6, 11-11:45 AM â€" Theme Park Creations. Make your own under the ocean scene or water park creation using recycled materials. Grades 3-4. R
Tues., July 6, 6:30-8:30 - Origami with Emily Kwan. This program lasts 2 hours; it is not a drop-in program. Ages 7-9 with a folding partner, 10 and up may come alone. R

Thurs., July 8, 15, 2-2:45 PM â€" Readers Theater. Rehearse a play (no memorizing!) and perform it for your family and friends. Grades 2-3 R
Mon., July 12, 7-7:45 PM - Middle School Craft. Make your own gift bag. Use magazines and contact paper to create a unique gift bag. Grades 6-8 R

Mon., July 26, 7-7:45 PM - Field paleontologists Mike and Roberta Straka will introduce Molly the mososaur, an ancient undersea reptile they discovered in 2003, show how fossils are formed and share real ones, and entertain with puppets, magic, a game, and a science experiment. *
Tuesday, July 27, 11-11:45 AM â€" Make a Soda Can Tab Bracelet
Make a cool tab bracelet using ribbon or colored rope. Grades 4-5. R
Tues., July 27, 7-7:45 PM â€" Mike Mikula, the Butterfly Guy presents Make a Splash of Color, featuring live and mounted butterflies of many hues. *
Mon. Aug. 2, 7-7:45 PM â€" Middle School Craft - Photo collage. Bring your own photos or use magazine pictures to create a cloud collage. Grades 6-8.
Tues., Aug. 3, 7-7:45 PM - Nina Peterson and her guitar present music with a watery theme, incorporating sign language. *
Fri, Aug. 6, 6:30-10:30 PM â€" Library Lock-In. This is the prize for finishing the Make a Splash Bingo Card; tickets are required and will be received when the completed card is turned in. Grades 6-12.
Mon., Aug. 9, 3:30-7:30 PM â€" Make a Splash Carnival. All ages.
