Established in 1984, the Friends of the Library is a volunteer, non profit organization. Their membership consists of local residents committed to enhancing library services. The Friends hold fundraising events throughout the year, use the funds to supplement library programs and services and advocate on behalf of the library. A significant percentage of the Friends income comes from membership dues. By signing up for the Friends of the library, you receive a copy of the Friends quarterly newsletter and invitations to special functions. You can become active in this organization if you choose to do so by noting it on your application form. The Friends are constantly looking for new members, particularly those who are new to the area, can commit to helping with various fundraising projects for 2-3 hours a month or have a love for the library!
